Rock Ledge Resources > Industries - Manufacturing > Representative Project - Food Industry ISO-9000 Implementation
A food manufacture business had identified that in order to meet future customer and market demands that ISO-9000 should be implemented throughout the business. In addition to the developing need to improve quality in the food industry, the ISO-9000 system could form the backbone of its implementation of food safety and HACCP systems. The implementation was planned to take place in nine months from project start.
A key aspect for successful implementation of ISO-9000 is to ensure that the system is developed such that the new systems implemented add value to the business rather than detract from the day to day operation. A Rock Ledge Resources principal led the development and implementation of ISO-9000 across a specialized grain milling manufacturing facility.
The business implemented ISO-9000 in nine months from a standing start. The project timescale included project orientation, training, procedure development, implementation and approval by the assessment body. The ISO-9000 quality system was the mechanism used for development and implementation of food safety and HACCP systems.
