A startup company needed to decide what roles the four principals would play. They had agreed the company needed a CEO, CFO, CIO and COO. Although any one of them could fill any of these positions, they sought to place the best person in each role in the most positive manner.
A Rock Ledge Resources consultant was engaged to help determine executive team assignments and help develop the executive platform for running the business. By creating a profile for each position, then assessing principals against the profiles, the consultant was able to identify the best assignment for each individual. In aligning positions to personal strengths, the consultant helped ensure the principals would be engaged and productive, a key factor in building their company. The principals also understood that the assignments were made based on the valuable skills and competencies each person brought to their job. In addition, the consultant created a depth chart a go-to document to aid the company in reassigning responsibilities in the event of an emergency or the departure of a principal.
A fully integrated executive team successfully launched they new business, and has transitioned the company into a profitable entity.
